NWCGA v Shropshire & Hereford at Porthmadog GC 17th April
NWCGA team Captain Iain Hayes (Abergele GC) has been able to recall a number of familiar faces to the team to play Shropshire and Herefordshire at Porthmadog GC this coming Sunday April 17th.
The availability of a number of players who were absent from the squad which lost to Cheshire because of a clash of fixtures strengthens the side.
The match consist of 6 morning foursome matches - teeing off at 9 a.m. and 12 single games teeing off from 2.00 p.m. onwards.

NWCGA v Cheshire at Heswall GC 3rd April
NWCGA Captain Iain Hayes (Abergele GC) has been able to select a strong team for the opening match of the season against Cheshire at Heswall this coming Sunday, April 3rd. Despite the counter attraction of the St David's Gold Cross being played at the Royal St Davids GC Harlech the NWCGA will field a team with a mixture of experience & youth at Heswall.
The match will consist of 6 foursome matches teeing off at 9.30 am followed by 12 singles in the afternoon.

NWCGA Annual General Meeting
The North Wales GC, Llandudno hosted the recent AGM of the NWCGA. Delegates representing the four member counties confirmed the selection of Abergele GC's Iain Hayes as team Captain for the 2016 season the new Captain succeeds Mold GC's Karl Lurz who was elected as President elect for 2017 - 18.
Current President, Eric Howells (Denbigh GC) will serve his second year as Association President in 2016 with Martyn Scholes (Mold GC) and Gareth Jones (Bull Bay GC) remaining in office as treasurer and secretary respectively. Elizabeth Youren (Baron Hill GC) continues as tournament organiser.
John Roberts (Mold GC) continues as Junior Captain with Paul Stanton (Mold GC ) coming into post as 2016 Seniors Captain to be succeeded by Wrexham GC's Jonathan Tym in 2017.
The North Wales team opens its season on Sunday, April 3rd with a match against Cheshire at Heswall GC.
