The Vale of Llangollen Golf club will host the inaugural North Wales Seniors Open Championship on Monday/Tuesday 9th/10th May 2016. The event, organised by the NWCGA will be played over ‘36’ holes and is being staged in response to approaches by the GUW.
Welsh Seniors team Captain, Richard Hendicott welcomed the introduction of the Championship and the event will be listed on the Seniors Order of Merit from which the national Seniors team will be selected.
The Vale of Llangollen Golf Club is regarded as the top inland course in North Wales measuring over 6,600 yards and with a par of 72. The course is located in a glorious setting on the side of the River Dee.
